MAYUMARRI KIDS KAMP
‘Where children are heard and believed’

Kids Kamp due to re-opne in October 2010 is situated on 120 acres of beautiful bushland. The children enjoy a true bush camping experience. Accommodation is provided in large African-style safari tents that are permanently erected close to the community centre, where meals and activities are held. There is no contact with the outside world (except in an emergency). In their free time, children can enjoy playing in the outdoors and swimming in the large dam.

Children are supervised 24 hours a day. The cost is dependent on what parents can afford, to ensure all children who need to can come. Our programmes cater for children between the ages of 7 and 17.

Parents and caregivers play a vital part in the Kids Kamp programme and are strongly encouraged to support their children by participating in their own healing programme at the Adult Healing Centre, if appropriate.Parents are also invited to a combined parent /child day on the final day of camp.

 Kids Kamp is about healing, love, acceptance and empowerment. Kids need to be aware this is not just a holiday camp, and need to recognise the problems in their current  behaviour that they wish to change.
